Masonic Youth
Our Goal
The goal of the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation is to provide resources, guidance and leadership to the young men and women of Pennsylvania. Founded in 1982, we continue to support the youth groups sponsored by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Adult leadership is always needed to help provide a fun and safe environment for the Masonic youth programs.
DeMolay is an organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead successful, happy and productive lives. Basing its approach on timeless principles and hands-on experience, DeMolay opens doors for young men, aged 12 to 21, by developing the civic awareness, personal responsibility and leadership skills so vitally needed in society today. DeMolay combines this serious mission with a fun approach that builds important bonds of friendship among members in more than 1,000 chapters worldwide.
Job’s Daughters is an organization created to unite girls and train leaders. Job’s Daughters enables young ladies, between ages 10 and 20, to learn leadership skills, organizational methods and the importance of fulfilling individual responsibilities within a group. By planning their own activities, members have fun doing what they want to do and at the same time creating life-lasting friendships.
Knights of Pythagoras is a community-based mentoring organization for young men, ages 7 to 20, which provides programs to interest and aid its members in their growth and development. These programs promote and develop leadership, responsibility and brotherhood within the membership, with the goal of creating not only better leaders, but also better young men.
Rainbow is an organization for young women, ages 11 to 20, who believe in God and want to have fun and serve their community. By teaching that service can be enjoyable, Rainbow Girls have a positive impact on their surroundings.
The Ruth Mitchell Tucker Girls Youth Department is a service-oriented organization which aims to enhance the character and growth of young women between ages 8 and 18. The organization seeks to stimulate their interest in higher education, enhance self-esteem and encourage civic involvement, which help to cultivate personal development.
The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania provides programming through the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation to recognize Masons who are Boy Scout Leaders for their dedication. Additionally, the R.W. Grand Master will issue a Commendation Letter to all new Eagle Scouts in Pennsylvania.
In addition to the quality programming offered by all the youth organizations outlined above, many offer programs for young children who fall just short of the age requirements of their desired group. These programs offer the same core values as the organizations who sponsor them but are tailored to fit the needs of a younger audience.
