The Girls’ Leadership Camp (ages 10 – 14) introduces valuable concepts of leadership. Understanding leadership begins with exploring one’s position within a group and the relationship to that group. We will investigate self-awareness and communication strategies and encourage positive interactions with others. Hands-on activities will relate to core concepts of what it means to recognize a leader and the various ways to take on a leadership capacity. The Girls’ Leadership Camp addresses the importance of self-reflection and responsive, positive coping skills necessary as a leader asserts themselves in broader society and serves as a role model to many.
With a variety of activities to choose from, girls will take on light-hearted projects, team building and structured social activities focused on positive communication and leadership skills, as well as interactive games. Some highlights of the program include: a visit from a therapy dog and handler, indoor swimming, open gymnasium options, karaoke night, tie-dying shirts, other arts & crafts, a talent show, guest speakers on a variety of topics (refined for this year’s theme) and act-out mad libs, all adding up to an atmosphere of creative, positive fun.
Each participant will be assigned to a group of 4 – 6 other girls. Each group will be led by a group leader and assistant group leader for the week. Rooming typically takes place with 2 – 3 other participants in a dorm-style room, located at the conference center on campus.
The Girl’s Leadership Camp reserves use of the recreational facilities at the Patton Campus, located at 1244 Bainbridge Rd., Elizabethtown, PA, including an indoor pool, volleyball, basketball (indoor gymnasium), atrium with space for board games and outdoor fields for use during free times. A movie night with popcorn and snacks will take place Thursday night. Our program is focused on community and learning through fun.
Registration Deadline: June 30, 2025.
