SUMMARY:Trends in Substance Use in Adolescence - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Current research into the substance use and abuse of youth indicates there is both good news and bad news. In one nationwide study\, illicit drug use\, other than marijuana\, had reached the lowest levels in the past two decades. That’s the good news. The not so good news revealed an increase in usage of marijuana and a decline in the perception of risk from using a number of substances. This workshop will:  \n\nAddress the research on substance use and abuse among youth \nLook at vaping\, the substances youth are commonly consuming via vaping and perceptions of harm via vaping \nExamine emerging drug trends among youth \nDiscuss the teenage brain and addiction \n\n If you wish to register for a webinar\, please contact Amy Nace at alnace@pmyf.org or call 717-367-1536\, ext. 2.
